The eminent Swiss composer Klaus Huber has died at the age of 93.
Huber was a staple in the European avant-garde and highly influential, having taught the likes of Brian Ferneyhough, Kaija Saariaho and Wolfgang Rihm.
He received the Ernst von Siemans’ Music Prize in 2009 and the Deutscher Musikautorenpreis Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013.
